Willamae “Mae" “Gain” (Rickard) Irvin, 83, was lifted to rest on March 3, 2024 at home. She was born in Prosperity, South Carolina, the daughter of the late Geneva Concepcion and Roy Rickard.
“Mae” as she was affectionately called by family and friends was a retired employee of Harrisburg Hospital and Homeland Center where she proudly served for many years.
She was a devoted member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church where she served as a woman who loved God. She was well known and respected throughout the Harrisburg community and will be fondly remembered by all who crossed her path.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Irvin; her granddaughter, Fallon Irvin and her siblings, Cora L. Smith and Roy Rickard. She is survived and celebrated by her children and daughter-in-law, Manuel "TD” and Melissa Irvin, Andrea "Cookie" Irvin, Nathaniel "Rick” Irvin and Roy P. "Scott” Irvin; her sister, Dorothy “Dot” Taylor; her two brothers, Michael Concepcion and Charles Concepcion; her 16 grandchildren, Gary "Splinner" Irvin, Jason Irvin, Brandi Irvin, David Irvin, Roy P. Irvin, Jr., Alicia R. Abram, Ebony R. White, Jesse R. Irvin, Joshua I. Irvin, Durrel Burns, Pierre S. Irvin, Tawana Bellamy, Tara Bellamy, Rick Bellamy, Andrea Fletcher and Demitrius Martin; a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and a dear family friend, Jose White.
Willa Mae’s life will be celebrated at 12 Noon on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 in the Chapel of The Major H. Winfield Funeral Home, Steelton, with viewing and visitation from 11:00 a.m. until 12 Noon.
