Yolanda Fisher, 46, of Gadsden, AL passed away on Friday, March 9, 2024. She is survived by her loving family. We ask that you please keep this family in your prayers during their time of bereavement.
Ms. Yolanda Renee Fisher was born August 1, 1977 in Gadsden, Alabama to the late Patricia Ann Fisher and the late Douglas Lipscomb.
She accepted Christ at an early age, and grew up as a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in East Gadsden. In her youth, she faithfully attended Sunday School and was a member of the Junior Red Circle. She sang with the Zachariah Jones Children’s Choir, and participated in activities with the Youth Department.
Yolanda was a life-long resident of Gadsden. As a little girl, she was a member of the Brownies and Girl Scout Troops. She was educated in the Gadsden City School system. She was a 1996 graduate of Litchfield High School. She later attended Gadsden State Community College and Jacksonville State University, and became a certified nursing assistant.
Yolanda parted this life on Friday, March 8, 2024. She is preceded in death by both of her parents, and her grandparents.
She is survived by her two loving daughters, ShaQualia Fisher and Zinae Fisher, both of Gadsden, AL; two sweet granddaughters, Za’Ryah Byers and Alyria Ann Fisher, both of Gadsden, AL; a loving brother, Reginald (Felicha) Fisher Sr., of Chelsea, AL; one niece, Reunna Fisher; one nephew, Reginald Fisher Jr., both of Chelsea, AL; one aunt, Yvonne Chapman, of Atlanta, GA; three special aunts, Shirley Latham, Yvette Latham, and Vivian Pace, all of Gadsden, AL; a special uncle, Ferendez Latham Sr. of Gadsden, AL; one surviving great uncle, Reverend Lumsie Fisher, of Detroit, MI; and a host of cousins and friends.
Public Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 12noon-6pm.
Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, March 17, 2024 at 3:30 pm at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, East Gadsden.
