Obituary For Mrs. Mary Eloise Edwards Glenn

SPARTANBURG, SC -- Mrs. Mary Eloise Edwards Glenn, 85, peacefully entered rest on Wednesday, September 4, 2013. Mrs. Glenn was born on March 12, 1928 in Spartanburg, SC; she was the daughter of the late O'Neal and Etta Artison Edwards. Mrs. Glenn was the widow of Deacon Joseph Glenn. She was a faithful member of the Mount Moriah Baptist Church, where she formerly served as a Deaconess. Left to cherish fond memories are: her loving children, Gracie J. (Dennis) McCollum, Carolyn R. Young, Dana L. (Janet) Glenn, and Beverly G. Glenn; her cherished grandchildren, Yolanda Green, Willie Green, Tanaya Johnson, Latoya Glenn, Corey Glenn, Brienna Glenn, Felicia Glenn and Vasoula Glenn; great-grandchildren; great great-grandchildren; and other dear family and friends. Mrs. Glenn was predeceased by her siblings: James Edwards, Priscilla Edwards Durham and O'Neal Edwards, Jr. A Service of Thanksgiving and Celebration for the Life of Mrs. Mary Eloise Edwards Glenn will be held on Friday, September 13, 2013 at the Mount Moriah Baptist Church. Dr. B. D. Snoddy will officiate. Interment will be in Heritage Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis McCollum, 410 Cinnamon Court, Inman, SC. J. W.
