Obituary For Mr. Joe Kelly, Sr.

SPARTANBURG, SC-- Mr. Joe Nathan Kelly, Sr., of 411 Vanderbilt Road, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 12, 2013, at his home. Mr. Kelly was the husband of Mrs. Lucile F. Kelly. He was the son of the late Mr. Garfield Lipscomb and Mrs. Helen B. Black. He was a native of Spartanburg County.Mr. Kelly was a member of the Harrison Grove Baptist Church where he served on the Trustee board. Mr. Kelly was a graduate of Spartanburg Community College. He was a U. S. Army Veteran. Kelly was employed with Goodyear Tire for 10 years.Survivors include: his devoted wife; two daughters, Michelle (Carl) Jones of Moore, SC and Kimberly Kelly of Spartanburg, SC; five grandchildren; three step grandchildren; and his aunt, Mrs. Magdalene Ellison of Spartanburg, SC.Mr. Kelly was preceded in death by a son, Mr. Joe N. Kelly, Jr.Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2013, at 2:00 PM at the Harrison Grove Baptist Church. Dr. Leon C. Rector will officiate.
