Obituary For Betty Washington Davis

The funeral services for the late Mrs. Betty Washington Davis, who departed this life on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. from the Israel's Temple Worldwide, Incorporated Church at 721 W. Society Avenue, Albany, Georgia. Apostle Jimmy L. Gardner, Pastor, will deliver the Eulogy. Burial will follow in the Westview Memorial Cemetery in Ashburn, Georgia. Mrs. Betty Washington Davis was born on October 19, 1956 in Cordele, Georgia to the late Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Roosevelt and Hattie Mae Bishop Washington.

Betty attended schools in the Turner County Public School System and graduated from Turner County High School in 1975.

Betty was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Mr. Tommy D. Davis in 1979. Betty was the mother of three amazing children.

Betty worked as a Nurse Aide at the Ashburn Health Care Nursing Home.

Our Loved One’s time upon this earthly realm came to an end on February 27, 2024 at her residence in Albany, Georgia. Her parents, her baby boy, Rodriquez Walker, four sisters and three brothers have all preceded her in death.

Betty leaves a legacy to cherish with her loving children, Teresa (Bobby) Harrington of Albany, Georgia, Tommy D. Davis of Tifton, Georgia; a daughter-in-law, Sharon Walker of Ty Ty, Georgia; a sister, Eva M. Brown of Ashburn, Georgia; two brothers, Willie Frank (Chantel) Washington of Sycamore, Georgia, Tyrone Washington of Ashburn, Georgia; eight grandchildren, Zikerria Bryant, Keshawn Walker, Ebonyee Walker, Quinnard Walker, Cnardarian Walker, Cnardariah Walker, Kaniya Davis, De’Nazion Davis; a very special niece/daughter, Nakia (Andre) McCoggle; a special great niece and great nephew, Kay and Koe; a beautiful goddaughter, Shay Chatfield; two devoted friends, Gwen Holloman, Juretha McMillian; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends who had the privilege of knowing her.
