Obituary For Mr. Cleveland Padney Washington

Cleveland “Padney” Washington, 79, of Tallahassee, FL, passed Thursday, February 22, 2024. He was born April 14, 1944 to the late Benjamin Washington, Sr. and Essie Crawford Washington. He attended the public schools of Leon County. He retired from Florida A & M University as Carpenter Shop Manager after 32 years of dedicated service.

He is survived by a special nephew, he considered a son, Alfred McCovey Washington; two brothers, Josh Washington and Alfred Washington of Tallahassee, FL and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters and four brothers.

Funeral services will be 2 PM, Sunday, Mach 3, 2024 at New Zion P.B. Church, 3845 Miccosukee Road, with burial at Clifford Hill Cemetery.
