SPARTANBURG, SC-- Mrs. Margaret Jean Clowney Simpson, 72, of 113 Norris Court, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 5, 2013. She was the wife of Mr. Fred L. Simpson and the stepdaughter of Mr. Lewis Garner of Spartanburg, and the late Mrs. Frances Clowney. She was a native of Spartanburg County. She was a faithful member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church.Survivors include: one son, John D. Stewart of Spartanburg, SC; two daughters, Francina S. (Ray) Johnson of Spartanburg, SC and Cynthia Stewart of Inman, SC; one brother, Anthony Garner of California; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 12, 2013, at 2:00 PM at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel.
