Ms. April Laverne DownsSPARTANBURG, SC-- Ms. April Laverne Downs, of 5384 Reidville Road, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, December 19, 2012. April was born on May 1, 1967, in Spartanburg, SC. She was the youngest daughter of Mr. Azon Downs, Jr. and Mrs. Talmadge McJimpsey Downs.April was a 1985 graduate of Spartanburg High School. She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. She was a twelve-year employee of BMW.Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Azon Downs, Jr. of Spartanburg, SC; two sisters, Charlotte Coleman of Wellford, SC and Natalie B. Meadows of Spartanburg, SC; two beautiful nieces, Sierra Sade Meadows and Alexus B. Meadows both of Spartanburg, SC; and a loving companion, Michael Grayson.Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2012, at 12:00 noon at the Cornerstone Baptist Church. Bishop Charles J. J. Jackson will officiate. Burial will be in the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, December 26, 2012, at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM.The family is at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Azon Downs, Jr., at 107 Woodride Ct., Spartanburg, SC.J.
