Deaconess Thelma Ann Taylor, age 72, of Doctor Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard, Warrenton, North Carolina departed this life on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Maria Parham Health in Henderson, NC.

Celebration of life for Deaconess Taylor will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024, at 12:00 PM at Greenwood Missionary Baptist Church 1175 Dr. MLK Jr. Blvd. Warrenton, North Carolina. Eddie Wayne Lawrence, Pastor Greenwood Baptist Church will deliver the eulogy and burial will follow in the Church cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Deacon Roger Taylor, Sr, her three children (Roger Taylor Jr, Rita Sutton (Shawn), and Anthony Taylor); her beloved grandchildren (Jazzmine Alston, Deja Alston, Elise Taylor, Jordan Jackson, Avery Taylor, and Bryson Sutton); great-grandchildren (Karsen Valentine and Charlie Valentine); and God-grandchildren (Quante Brown, Donte Brown and Trinity Owens).

Also left to cherish her memory are her sisters and brothers (Sarah Walker, Shirley Hicks, Mack โ€œPeterโ€ Parham (Linda), Cellia Mae Daniel, Janice Steed (Lenwood), Donald Parham (Elza) and Barbara Parham); her brother and sister-in-law (Pastor Melvin Harris (Bridget) and Pastor Nancy Williams (Willie) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents (Charles Yancey and Celean Parham); her grandparents (Deacon Luther Peter Collins, Sr and Thelma Yancey Collins); her siblings (Milton Collins (Catherine), James Collins (Ethel), Nora Lee Malone, Luther Peter Collins, Jr (Margaret) and Mary Lee Wright (Clarence); mother-in-law (Pattie Harris) and brother-in-law (Roy Taylor, Sr) and goddaughter Lucy Henderson. We take solace in knowing she has been welcomed with open arms.

A public viewing will take place Thursday February 29, 2024, from 3:00 โ€“ 7:00PM at Boyd & Royster Funeral Home 149 Holland Bland Rd. Warrenton, North Carolina.
