To Ms. Vi's family, wishing you my sincere condolences for the loss of your treasured loved one. I had the privilege of meeting Vi through her cousin, my dear friend, Rose who connected us. Vi and I shared ideas and business plans through emails and phone calls. Even though we were states apart, we shared a bond of friendship although for way too brief a time. She was brilliant, feisty and I admired her entrepreneurial spirit and felt like I had known her for far more than these past few years because of the love, admiration, and stories her cousin Rose had shared with me about her. Ms. Vi, may your spirit rest in peace. You will always be loved and forever missed.

Violettee (Vi), you were and still are mine and Caesar's treasured friend. I met you in 1976 when we were Freshmen at Howard. You were and still are a classy woman of God, an intellect, engineer and author. You were the sweetest suite mate and with me the night I met Caesar-46 years ago. I cannot believe that you have left this earthly realm but you are in a better place with Jesus! we'll see you on the other side. We are praying for your family. Love always Caesar and Karen Williams Gooden

My heart goes out to the family of Vi Brown as we called her in Phoenix. My eyes are stilled being filled with tears of hearing this sad news about my friend. We worked closely together at First Institutional Baptist Church in Phoenix. She was the Young Adult Superintendent and I was the Adult Superintendent. We formed a close friendship at that time and only Death separated it. Our friendship stretched out beyond the church to eating out and visiting the Nursing Home as well. Rest in Peace My friend gone but never forgotten. !!!!You are still loved!!!!!
