Roy Lee Burgess, 77, died Monday, February 12, 2024 at his residence, 1921 Robert Hall Blvd., Chesapeake, VA. He was born January 22, 1947 in Manning, SC. A son of the late Rev. Golden and Ethel Mae Preston Burgess Jr.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, February 23, 2024 at Hayes F. Samuels Sr. Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in the Cypress Fork AME Church Cemetery.
