Hufus Lee Tatum, Sr.

Funeral service for Deacon Hufus Lee Tatum, Sr. 77, will be Monday, February 12, at 11 am at the Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church with Dr. Titus R. Roberson, officiating. Interment will follow in Eden Hills Cemetery. Deacon Tatum passed away on February 1, 2024 at Regional Medical Center. Deacon Tatum's remains will arrive at the church one hour prior to his service.

Mr. Tatum was educated at Clay County Training School. He retired from General Motors, Dayton, Ohio. Deacon Tatum was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church. Deacon Tatum loved gardening and fishing.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Josephine Tatum, his brothers, twin Bufus Lee Tatum, Sr. and Jimmie Frank Tatum.

Survivors include his wife: Melba Tatum; daughters: Rosalynn Ware Neloms, Angela (Dwight) Richardson, Sharon Tatum, Diana Smith, Michelle Tatum and Shirea White; sons: Micheal (Stephanie) Warner, William (Mechelle) Warner, Joe Jackson, Hufus L. Tatum, Jr., and Grantt White; his siblings: Christine (Eddie) Chapman, Dr. James E. (Dr. Patricia) Tatum, Kelly Tatum; uncle: Elijah Wood; aunts: Mrs. Pat Davis, Eula L. Heflin; grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
