Darryl Wayne Gardner Jr. was born February 7, 1984, to Daphne Bostic and Darryl W Gardner Sr. in Miami, Florida. Darryl was educated in Dade County and in St. Johns County, but later finished his education to earn his GED in Tallahassee, Florida. Darryl played Pop Warner football as a young child. Darryl moved to Green Cove Springs in 2023 and worked at LCG Corporation in Green Cove Springs. Darryl was always known for having a big heart and a “Nellie” smile, but the love he had for his family was unbreakable. Darryl was preceded in death by his Brother: Antonio Gardner, Grandparents: Annette Thorpe, Charles Gardner Sr., Ernest Williams, his Aunt: Elaine Gardner and Uncle: Rosevelt Bostic.

He leaves to cherish his memories: Fiancé: Charlene Rawlings {Chyna Rawlings} of Green Cove Springs. Parents: Darryl (Samantha) Gardner(St. Augustine), Daphne Bostic(Miami). Siblings-Sister: Gracita[Muffin] Gardner (Miami, Fl), Zipporah Gardner(Boca Raton). Brothers: Bryan(Yolanda) Gardner[St. Augustine], Clavon Bostic[New Hampshire] Sister-cousin: Frieda(Duane) Whitehead[Jacksonville]. Grandmothers: Gracie Gardner[St. Augustine], Sissy Williams[Elkton, Fl]. Aunts: Zelda Gardner[Jacksonville], Gail Gardner[Washington, DC.], Mary Bostic, Ollie Mae Bostic, Mattie Bostic[Miami, Fl]. A Celebration of Life will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 24, at Greater St. Mary's Baptist Church, St. Augustine. Interment will be held in Craig Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
