Obituary For Mrs. Joe Ann Dunham

Joe Ann Dunham departed this earthly life on February 8, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Sam Zimmerman and Jessie Mae Pugh Zimmerman. In addition to her parent, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Quincy Zimmerman, Levern Zimmerman, Samuel Zimmerman, Willie J. Zimmerman, Julius Brown, Edward Brown, Mary Quick, and Ruby L. Zimmerman.

She was a member of High Point Church of Christ. Joe Ann loved children and was a dedicated babysitter who had the pleasure of caring for a multitude of children over the years. Joe Ann was known for her unwavering kindness and compassion towards everyone she met. Her legacy of love and service continues to inspire those who knew her.

Left to cherish her memories; her husband, Charles Edward Dunham; children, Kaswelda F. Bethea and Carmen C. Bethea both of High Point, NC; Michael A. Zimmerman of Stockbridge, Georgia; and Donta C. Zimmerman of Winston Salem, NC; five grandchildren, two great grandchildren; siblings, Lois Bracy, Nellie Zimmerman and Queenester Jones all of High Point, NC; aunt, Lorine Bines of Timmonsville, SC and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow at Carolina Biblical Gardens. The family will receive friends at the chapel from10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

Final arrangements are entrusted to Phillips Funeral Service, Inc.
