Shayla Pittman of Marianna, Florida, transitioned to her heavenly home on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at home surrounded by her caring and loving family. She was 31 years of age.
Shayla was of the Methodist faith and an active member of Mt. Ararat AME Church.
She attended and graduated from the public schools of Jackson County. After graduating from Marianna High School, she further her education at Chipola College. After receiving her A.A. and BS degree in Business Administration with a focus in Accounting, she worked at Sunland Suntown Mall Bank.

Pittman of Greenwood, Florida; aunts, Tondelayo Clemmons and husband Morris of Marianna, Florida, Debra Waddell and husband Joe of Marianna, Florida, Carolyn Bennett and husband Henry of Randalltown, Maryland, Cheryl Caldwell of Pensacola, Florida, Shirley Keys of Greenwood, Florida, Angelnetta Scott of Marianna, Florida, Patsy Bobb and husband Sidney of Greenwood, Florida, Gwendolyn Borders of Marianna, Florida, Maureen Hayes and husband Eddie of Tampa, Florida and Yvette Governor and husband Vincent of Tampa, Florida; uncles, Rev. A public viewing will be Friday, February 16th from 3-6 at Peoples Funeral Home Chapel. A Solemn Farewell will be held Saturday, February 17th at 11am at Second West Baptist Association Church with Moderator Dwight Cockerham, Sr., Reverend Freddie Roulhac, Reverend Ronnie Spears and Reverend Frankie Freeman officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Ararat AME Church Cemetery with arrangements entrusted to the Caring Staff at Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna.
