Obituary For Anthony Blair

Mr. Anthony Atonio Blair, 67, of Phenix City, AL passed Wednesday, February 7, 2024 in Columbus, GA.

Funeral service will held 12:00 Noon EST, Thursday February 22, 2024 at the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Chad Bryant, officiating. Interment will follow in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, AL. Visitation is Wednesday, February 21, 2024 from 2 - 5 p.m. EST.

Anthony "Toot" Blair was born July 16, 1956, he was the only child of the late Ruby Nell Youngblood and Herman Blair Sr.

With Toot being the only child, he seemed to have had a knack for meeting and making friends wherever he went. Toot attended Spencer High School and that was where he met and kept his fellow classmates for the remainder of his life, Spencer Class of "74". During that time even though he was the shortest of the players, he pushed his way through and became a "BEAST" in basketball and football.

After high school, Toot attended Fort Valley University. Later, he decided to join the U.S. Navy where he worked as a Medical Field Technician until he retired. He then went on to work for Columbus Consolidated Government until he had to retire due to health issues.

Later in life, he met and married Drameka Hampton where he spent the remainder of his life. They truly carried out and fulfilled their marriage vows “until death do us part”. On Wednesday, February 7, 2024, he let go of all the earthly things and took the hand of God and followed his heavenly Father home.

He leaves behind to mourn and cherish his memories to his wife, Drameka Blair of Phenix City, AL; his children, Nina (Arthur) Fonteneaux of Houston, TX; Nicole (Michael) Arrington of Atlanta, GA; Brandon Winfrey of Phenix City, AL; Trey Pouncil of Ft. Worth, TX; grandchildren, Zoe, MJ, Abigail, Anthony, Avery , Jayla, Jaydin, Zayda, MacKenzie, Drayton and Davien and a host of other relatives and friends.
