Mrs. Arthur Mae Jackson, 77, of Columbus, GA passed Monday, February 5, 2024 in Columbus, GA.
Memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. EST, Tuesday, February 13, 2024 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Dr. Walter E. Taylor, officiating. There will be no public viewing.
Mrs. Arthur Mae McBride Jackson was born June 13, 1946 in Columbus, GA to the late Hillard and ST Woods McBride. Mrs. Arthur Jackson transitioned to her eternal home on Monday, February 5, 2024 at St. Francis Hospital, Columbus, GA. She was preceded in death by three brothers; Johnny, Sammy Lee and Michael McBride.
Arthur Mae accepted Christ at an early age and joined Nazareth Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher and member of young adult choir. She attended William H. Spencer High school and graduated in 1964.
She was united in holy matrimony on August 2, 1965 to Mr. Caridy Jackson Jr. To this unit a son was born, Donald Wayne Jackson (Atlanta, GA).
Arthur Mae worked at Krystal Cleaners, Fieldcrest Mill and Tom's Food for 30 plus years. She was also a seamstress with a big heart and would help anyone in need. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
She leaves to cherish her fond memories to a devoted, loving and caring husband, Caridy, and a loving son, Donald Wayne; two brothers-in-law, Eugene (MS) and Otis (Mary) Jackson (Dublin,GA); three sisters-in-law, Betty Crowell, Ernestine and Annie Pearl McBride (Columbus, GA) and a host of other relatives and friends.
