Mr. James J. Trimble, 65, of Gadsden, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2024. He is survived by his loving family. We ask that you keep this family in your hearts and prayers during their time of bereavement.

Mr. James J. Trimble was born on February 19, 1957, to Otearl Trimble Smith, receiving his education in the Gadsden City School System. He loved basketball, the L.A. Lakers to be specific; The Stories, his favorite being The Young and The Restless, and spending time with his family. James was well known throughout his community, never meeting a stranger when new faces surfaced.

Mr. Trimble was preceded in death by his mother, Otearl Trimble Smith; stepfather, Lebron Smith; brother Jerome Trimble; sister Arleena Trimble; and nephew Jeffery Trimble.

His precious memories will be cherished by his siblings Betty Rodgers of Gadsden, AL, Donna (Rocky) Hickman of Knoxville, TN, Dale Trimble of Gadsden, AL.; Nieces and Nephews Barbara Trimble, PennyAnn Trimble, Letitia Trimble. Tammy (Cara) Mostella, Jennifer Hill, Tara Williams, Pamela Cothern, Derrick Trimble, Beonica Smith, Cacy Smith, Macy Smith, Dale Smith, Yasmine Davis, Cody Calloway and Harrison Williamson all of Gadsden, AL, Amirah Hickman and Dawn Hickman of Knoxville, TN; In-Law Calvin Rodgers; Special Friends Antonio Huntly and Reginal Porter, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Public Visitation will be Wednesday, February 7, 2024 from 12pm-6pm.

Graveside Service will be Thursday, February 8, 2024, 1pm at Lincoln Hill Cemetery.
