SPARTANBURG, SC-- Mr. Lonnie Earl Simpson, of 120 Sullivan Ave., entered into eternal rest on Saturday, December 7, 2012. He was the husband of Mrs. Laverne Wofford Simpson. He was the son of the late Rufus Pressley and Louise Brannon Simpson. He was a member of the Mt. Mariah Baptist Church.Survivors include his wife, Laverne W. Simpson of the home; two sons, Carlos (Nicole) Wofford and Richardearl Smith, both of Spartanburg, SC; two daughters, Chastity Smith and Sherri (Eli) Harris of Spartanburg, SC; three brothers, Bishop Lewis Brannon, Claude Simpson of Spartanburg, SC, and John Simpson of Atlanta, GA; three sisters, Emma Lee Shands, Elaine (John) Rice and Deloris Mitchell of Spartanburg, SC; eight grandchildren.The J.W.
