Lois J Coles
October 20, 1940 - January 15, 2024

On January 15, 2024, our beloved Lois Coles passed peacefully in the city of Richmond, VA. Lois was born on October 20, 1940, to the late John & Mary Coles in Prospect, VA. Lois received her education through the Prince Edward Public School System. Lois moved to New York but later resided in Paterson, NJ. She attended Passaic County Community College, where she continued her education. Lois went on to fulfill a
promising career at St. Joseph Hospital and St. Mary's General Hospital where she served dutifully for 25 plus years before retiring in 2009.

While in Paterson, NJ Lois accepted Christ as her savior with New Christian Chapel of Paterson, NJ. She served as a faithful member under the teachings of Pastor Alfred T. Coles. She later returned to Virginia where she became a member of The Jesus
Center in Appomattox, VA under the teachings of Pastor Alfred Jones. Lois knew and loved the Lord.

Lois was known as a fashionista; all eyes was on her when she walked in the room. Lois was a generous, light-hearted, and compassionate soul. She loved the simple things in life, but the one thing she loved the most was spending time with her family and friends.

Lois was preceded in death by her loving father; John Coles; mother, Mary Ford-Coles; her beloved siblings, Ralph Coles, John Coles Jr., Ruby Coles-Murray, Catherine Ann Lindsey, Odarris Owens; two nieces, Letisha Coles, Sharon Lindsay. She leaves to
cherish her memories; one daughter, Sheila Hewitt (Donald); one grand-daughter, Danielle Hewitt (Joshua); two great grandchildren, Darianna Tirado, Elijah Tirado; five sisters, Joyce Coles, Ellen Lorraine Coles, Barbara Elaine Coles, Sharon Coles-
Wardell, Topaica Coles; devoted cousin, Mary (Suga) Abraham; three devoted nieces, Janiera Coles, Autume Williams, Tyeshia Lindsay; two devoted nephews Rodney Stowers, Vincent Coles:
and a host of nieces , nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.
