Jennifer Louise Crockett transitioned to her heavenly home on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at Hospice House of Randolph in Asheboro, NC. She was born in Washington, DC on March 19 1949, five minutes after her twin sister, Jeanne Leslie Crockett, to the late Louise Carol Gray and Lester Crockett. Jennifer was preceded in death by her dad, Fredrick Douglas Cody Sr., sister, Nellie Cody Davis (Eric), nephews’ Leonard "Lenny" Cooper, Benny Graham and Ricky Shaw.
In 1968, Jennifer graduated from Glenville High School in Cleveland, Ohio. After high school Jennifer along with her twin, volunteered at the local YMCA because of her love of helping people. Later on Jennifer became employed by Ohio Bell as a utility clerk.
In 1989 Jennifer, Jeanne, and Callie relocated to North Carolina. Eventually Jennifer got on at Bell South (formerly Southern Bell). Jennifer retired in 2014 after over 20 years of service with Bell South. Jennifer came out of retirement and began working as a school bus driver for special needs children, whom she loved dearly. She faithfully passed out Daily Bread booklets to students and their families because she was determined to spread the word of God.
Jennifer loved God, and her Church the Church of God of Prophecy at Stanton Place. Jennifer was a faithful member for 30 years where she sang on the choir with her twin sister. Jennifer will be remembered for her infectious laugh and vibrant personality. Her hobbies included traveling, sewing, and cooking. Jennifer loved wearing red lipstick, fresh flowers, perfume, and all things girly. Like her mother Louise, Jennifer passed down her appreciation for fashion and sass to her three daughters. Jennifer was an independent hard worker with a heart the size of Texas. She leaves to cherish her legacy of LOVE her daughters, and grandchildren. Jennifer was ecstatic to be a great grandmother. She was a role model of faith, perseverance, and Love. Her legacy of love will continue to inspire and motivate others to live a life of purpose, dedication, and joy.

Nieces and Nephews, Anthony and Patrice Shaw, Sherie Cody, Marcus Cody (Sarah), Andrea Peeple, Squeeky (Grady Tory) Monique Bell (Pat), Beverly Cody Smith (Mannis), and Brandy Jones. Cousins, Tanny, Janice, and Karen. Great Nieces and Nephews, Shameika Cody, Fred Cody II, Marcus Cody Jr., Precious Price, Jamal Graham, Frank Graham, and a host of close friends.
A memorial service will be held Friday, February 9, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at Church of God of Prophecy, 1100 Stanton Place, High Point, NC. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 p.m. until 12:30 p.m.
