Mr. Eddie B. Gaddy, the son of the late AB and Florence Richardson Gaddy was born January 15, 1945 in Anson County, North Carolina. He departed this life on January 16, 2023 at McLeod Health Center-Cheraw, Cheraw, South Carolina.
Eddie received Christ as his personal Savior at an early age and joined Sandy Ridge Baptist Church, Morven, North Carolina. He was very active in Sandy Ridge growing up and remained a member there until he moved away.
He was united in marriage to Margaret Short and to this union two children were born, a daughter, Sandra Gaddy and a son, Eddie Bernard Gaddy.
Later in life, he married Hattie Ratliff and to this union a son was born, Corey Gaddy.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and one brother.
He leaves to cherish his memories, one daughter, Sandra (Jeff) Gaddy of Charlotte, North Carolina; two sons, Eddie Bernard (Sonya) Gaddy of Wingate, North Carolina and Corey Gaddy of Charlotte, North Carolina; a special niece, Angela Hudson Covington of Wadesboro, North Carolina; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The Homegoing Services will be on Sunday, January 21, 2024, 2:00pm, Smith's Memorial Chapel, 604 Salisbury Street, Wadesboro, North Carolina. Interment will be in the family plot of the Sandy Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery, Morven, North Carolina.
The Gaddy Family will greet family and friends on Sunday, January 21, 2024 from 1:30-2:00pm at Smith's Memorial Chapel.
The public viewing will be on Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 3:00-5:00pm.
