On January 16, 2024, around 7:00 p.m., Willard Anthony Moore heard the Lord’s calling, “Welcome home my faithful servant.” Anthony was born on July 5, 1959 to the late Bishop Willie Moore and the late Delois Moore.
Anthony was a graduate of Stoneville High School, Stoneville, NC in the Class of 1978. He was employed at Milliken and Company, Mayodan, NC for 28 years and was known as “Big A”.
Anthony had two life’s passions: the first was mowing and trimming lawns, which led to the establishment of the A & T Lawn Care Service. The second was riding dirt bikes as a child that led to his love for motorcycles that he shared with his wife. This passion also inspired his nephew, Steven Dalton to become a motorcyclist.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, David Moore.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving and devoted wife; Teresa Moore, sister; Lavern Smith (Reverend Edward Smith) of Asheboro, NC, brother; Jermone Moore of Asheboro, NC. Four aunts; Virginia Spencer, Addie Jones, Mildred Hairston and Doris Scales and one uncle, Gale Preston. He also leaves to cherish his memory a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
My sincere condolences to the Moore Family and Friends! Debbie Claybrook
