To: The Family of Larry Miller I am sorry for our loss. I am sorry for the pain that the Miller family is suffering. As Larry's brother in arms,I feel the same pain. We as a nation are strong because of Larry and the brave men and women that chose to serve our country. Without the loyal dedication of men, women, and Veterans like Larry, we would not know the true meaning of Freedom. Larry wore the uniform to protect the Nation for you and me. He gave himself so unselfishly. Larry left his family to go on foreign soil. Larry and other soldiers stood guard day and night, often weary of sleep but prepared to battle the enemy. Larry saw death and destruction in war torn Vietnam. Through all of the sadness and sorrow, Larry knew that his contribution to our nation would ensure children a better tomorrow. The "call of Taps" will sound the final blowing of the bugle on the day of Larry's funeral. It symbolize the "lights going out" on the life of a valiant U.S.Military service member, or a U.S. Military Veteran. It's been an honor and pleasure for me to have served in the same U.S. Army that Larry rendered honorable service. The Veterans benefits has truly enhanced my quality of life. I will always remember Larry Miller's contribution to the Armed Forces of the United States of America. You will always be a Brother to me. Vaughn Andrews Sr.

Larry was a Disabled American Veterans who served in the United States Army. He saw action as a Combat Infantry soldier during the Vietnam War. Larry was awarded numerous military awards and decorations. 1). National Defense Service Medal 2). Republic of Vietnam Service Ribbon 3). Armed Forces Service Medal 4). Army Service Ribbon 5). Army Overseas Service Ribbon 6). Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal 7). Republic of Vietnam Presidential Unit Citation 8). Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross Unit Citation 9). U.S Army Blue Shoulder Cord 10). Combat Infantry Badge Larry was very humble and did not boaster about his professional Military accomplishments. I traveled in Larry's footsteps and served in the United States Army also. I was so proud to do so and it was the most rewarding experience of my life. Larry, I will cherish the period (1975), when I returned to the United States, after serving a tour in the Republic of Panama (Canal Zone). I will never forget when Larry accompanied me to my next duty station. We drove 2,654 from Atlanta, Georgia to Fort Lewis, Tacoma, Washington. I will always remember how Larry shared his resources, kind heart, and Army experiences with me. God blessed me tremendously when he placed Larry into my life. Thank you Larry for taking me under your wings and sharing your life resume with me. I will carry you and "868" in my heart forever. Love ya Your Brother, Vaughn Andrews Sr.
