In the still of the evening of Sunday, January 7, 2024, Mrs. Gwendolyn E. Green, entered into the peace of God's eternal rest in the Savannah Memorial Health Center, Savannah, GA. Mrs. Green was the widow of Deacon James Green, Jr. She was the daugther of the late Nellie L. Cochran Shaw and Deacon Robert E. Shaw, Sr. Mrs. Green was a resident of the Gillisonville community of Jasper County, SC and was employed for numerous years as an asssociate of the Walmart, Inc., Hardeeville, SC. A lifelong member of the Pilgrimford Missionary Baptist Church of Yemassee, SC, she was a faithful servant. Her cheerful personality and beautiful smile shall be remembered with love forever. Her children, grandchildren, siblings and loved ones will never relinquish her love and care.

Visitation: Thursday, January 11th, 5-7 pm in the Chapel of Young Funeral Home.

Funeral service: Friday, January 12th, 10:00 am in the Pilgrimford Missionary Baptist Church, 22 Pilgrimford St.., Yemassee, SC. Burial will be in the Rockspring Cemetery, Grays, SC.
