OPELOUSAS β A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Opelousas, LA for Mr. Joseph Ledet, 64, who entered eternal rest on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at his residence in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.
Fr. Justin Arockiasamy, S.V.D., will be officiating the funeral mass.
Mr. Ledetβs memories are being cherished by: his wife, Angela Ledet of Opelousas, LA; four daughters, Brittani Coleman of Lafayette, LA, Ashley Leday, Crystal Leday and Mary Leday, all of Opelousas, LA; four brothers, Willie (Julie) Leday of Lafayette, LA, James Leday of Baton Rouge, LA, Marion Leday of Opelousas, LA and David Leday of Hammond, LA; two sisters, Connie Jacobs (Edmond) of Houston, TX and Angela Leday of Spring, TX; his father-in-law, Jack Coleman of Washington, LA; two grandchildren, Addison Doucet and Jax Cassimere; two Godchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by: his parents, Leroy and Josephine Green Leday; one brother, Paul Leday; one sister, Carolyn Leday; maternal grandparents, Henrietta Edwards and Fisher Green; and paternal grandparents, Edgar and Mary Leday.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA.
