Obituary For Betty Jean Barber Section

The funeral services for the late Mrs. Betty Jean Barber Section, who departed this life on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. from the Mt. Zion Church of God Apostolic in Ashburn, Georiga. Minister Tommy Barber will deliver the Eulogy. Burial will follow in the Westview Memorial Cemetery in Ashburn, Georgia. Mrs. Betty Jean Barber Section was born on March 28, 1946 in Ashburn, Georgia to the late Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Luther and Maggie Nelson Barber.

Betty Jean was educated in the Turner County Public School System. She attended church services at Mt. Zion Church of God Apostolic in Ashburn, Georgia

Betty worked at Coats & Clark for many years. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Joseph Leroy Section, Sr.

Our beloved Betty left this earthly realm on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at her home. Her parents, Marshall and Maggie Barber, her husband, Joseph Leroy Section, Sr., her siblings, Rosa Mae Barber, Mae Francis Young, John W. Barber, Oscar Barber, have all preceded her in death.

Betty Jean leaves to cherish her memories her children, Joseph Leroy Section, Jr., Jacqueline Section, Anthony “Ned” Section, Sr.; her grandchildren, Victoria Section, Veronica (Charlie) Crapp, Joseph Section III, Kevin Johnson, Latisha Love, Andrea (Rodney Singleton) Section, Christonya Section, Timothy Bell, Jr., Chad Section, Tabitha Section, Keyona Jackson, Avoriana Section, Deivory Section, Deavery Section, Malcolm Section, Mikiya Mathis, David Graddic, Shaquille Section, Anthony Section, Jr., Kamron Section; eight great great grandchildren; her siblings, Tommy (Trevorina) Barber, Odell Barber, Betty Sue Barber, Johnny L. (Virginia) Barber, Marshall L. Barber, Willie James (Josie) Barber, Mattie L. Barber, Roy Lee (Eloise) Barber, Dolly Marie (David) Calloway; special nieces, Monzell Barber, Taebony Gipson; a special friend who preceded her in death, James Chatfield; best friends and fishing buddies, Lamar Caswell Green, Mary Floyd, Janie Jackson, Catherine Currelley; and a host of other relatives and sorrowing friends.
