Selvin Nelson, 74, husband of Barbara Scott Nelson, died Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at Prisma Health Richland, Columbia, SC. He was born September 9, 1949 in Alcolu, SC. A son of the late Levi and Cadiver Frierson Nelson.

Public viewing will be held from 2:00 PM til 6:00 PM Friday, December 29, 2023 at Hayes F. Samuels Sr. Memorial Chapel.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Hayes F. Samuels Sr. Memorial Chapel, 114 N. Church St., Manning, SC. Burial will follow in the Reeseville AME Church Cemetery, Alcolu, SC.

The family is receiving friends from 3:00 PM til 6:00 PM at his residence, 2262 Boston Wells Rd., Alcolu, SC beginning Thursday, December 28, 2023. COVID protocol mask required.
