Obituary For Paul Wayne Shipley

Paul Wayne Shipley, 70 of Bellevue, TX went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 26th, 2023 in Wichita Falls, TX.

A memorial service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 30th at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie, with Douglas Boyd officiating.

Paul was born June 16, 1953 in Ringgold, TX to Henry and Lamonte (Dodd) Shipley. He graduated from Gold-Burg High School in 1971. On December 16th, 1976, Paul married Lou Ann Howard in Nocona, TX. He was a life long mechanic, and worked for Ray Walker at Ray's Used Equipment in Nocona for 33 years. In his free time, Paul enjoyed flying, drag racing, dirt track racing, water skiing and tinkering with cars.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Doris Edgett and brother Homer Shipley.

Paul is survived by his wife Lou Ann Shipley; children, Brad Shipley and Jill Gardner, all of Bellevue; grandson, Rayge Gardner of San Antonio; brother, Henry Don Shipley and wife Diana of Henrietta, TX; sister-in-law, Leah Shipley of Omaha, AR; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in honor of Paul to the Hospice of Wichita Falls.

Paul Wayne was our neighbor growing up. He was always so sweet and patient with us kids. He used to take us to Terral and buy us treats.
