We have not been able to get to SC often enough recently, but Scott's is always a priority when we are here — and always timed so we can enjoy with friends while in Marion and also share some with friends when we return to VA. It was always an added treat to see Ella and her team - and loved sharing camellias and hydrangeas with her. Had planned to pick up barbq the week after Christmas, but that was not to be. So sad that I missed my holiday visit with Ella, but comforting to know she is again with Rosie. We will always treasure memories of them both — not to mention continuing to relish their legacy of the very best bbq! Now praying they can rest in peace and know they will remain in our hearts. Our thoughts are with you, Rodney, and the entire Ella & Rosie team.

My cousin Ella Jane, always sweet and graceful a delightful person every time we meet. Always working but always taking time to talk with us. You know we had to get that picture with you to satisfy us, while we ordered our #1 meal and a strawberry soda at Scott's Barbecue. It will never be the same. The memories and Love you gave us, will forever shine in our hearts. Lovingly Cousin Ada J. Mills

My sincere condolences and prayers to the Scott Family, Mrs Scott, will truly be missed. I always made that Stop wherever I traveled home from Florida to Hemingway, even if the line was around the block, cold or hot, we stood in in-line to get BBQ, to eat while there and some to bring back to family and friends. My friend/ my neighbor/ my sister you pulled on on us Sunday. I never thought that Saturday would be my last day seeing you. We were close from day one. We grew up together. We visited each other you cook I ate at your house so often you would say you don't have any food at your house. You were always there we were already family but we became sisters, when Rosie died every time you passed the house you slowed up and blew the horn to let me know you were leaving. No more horn blowing, no more calls from you saying little gal come here and fixed my tv. Or little gal you don't stay home anymore. I love you Ella Jane and you gave me a Christmas present I will never forget. I know you're in a better place and you're happy now. I'm not gonna say goodbye! I will say see you as we always said when we departed. The tree on the hill want be the same
