In profound sorrow we announce the passing of Mr. Edwin Bethea. Edwin Ayres Bethea was born in Birmingham, Alabama on May 15, 1931 to Monroe A. Bethea and Marzetta Pressley Bethea. He spent his early childhood years with his grandparents Calvin and Annie McArthur Bethea in Millers Ferry, Wilcox County, Alabama. Edwin transitioned to his eternal home and to Kappa Alpha Psi Chapter Invisible on Christmas, December 25, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents. Those celebrating his life include co-workers, and neighbors in Atlanta, the community at Mount Vernon Village Senior Living, members of the North Avenue Presbyterian Church, many devoted friends and loving family members. Memorial Services will be conducted on Sunday, January 14th at 12:30 pm at the North Avenue Presbyterian Church, 607 Peachtree Street NE, Atlanta, GA 30308. A Repast at the church will follow the Memorial service. Interment will take place at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia on Tuesday, January 16th at 10:00 am.
