Spartanburg, SC: Barbara J. Smith transitioned peacefully into eternal rest on December 17, 2023 surrounded by her family.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Lincoln Memorial Gardens.

Words can not describe the impact Ms Barbara made on my life and the lives of others who had the pleasure of working with her while doing God's work, she had a wonderful way of decorating the church house at Ebenezer, her designs still hangs in the Santuary choir stand,she used to allow me to help her decorate the dining room tables, she was one of the classiest ladies I've ever met, my deepest sympathy to her family and friends 🙏 ❤️, your friend in Christ, Pastor Kenneth Clyburn Sr

I had the pleasure of meeting Barbara on Thanksgiving, 2022. I've heard wonderful stories and memories shared about her through my friend and her grandson, Lamond. He loved her so much.
