Carole P. Connally

Carole P. Connally, was born on November 11, 1958 in Sarasota, FL., to Willa and Tommy Battie. She passed away on December 6, 2023.

Carole was a gifted leader and role model. At times she could full fill the role of a teacher and other times a student. A graduate of Sarasota High School, she went on to enter the military to serve her country. Upon serving her term, she went on to get her degree in cosmetology. Where she specialized in hair styling. Of her many accomplishment, she was one of the first black women to become employed at a local convenience store.

Carole always strived to educate her self and always shared her southern hospitality. A spirit who could brighten up the room with laughter. She left her life in Florida and moved to Kansas to set her imprint in a new town and begin new adventures. She was a warm individual who truly loved to give back to her community and her warm presence will be missed but not forgotten.

She is predeceased by her Father Tommy Lee, Sisters Rhonda and Kimberly Battie.

She is survived by her mother, Willa Battie; two children, Sean and Andre Connally; two sisters, Kathy and Brenda; brothers, Anthony, Michael, and Tommy Jr.; uncles, Anthony, Ronald, Henry, Willie, Herbert, and Curtis; aunts, Queenie, Yvonne, and Rosemary; two nieces, seven nephews, and many cousins.

Services will be held 5:00pm on Dec. 18, 2023 at Jones Funeral Home.
