Louise Freeman passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 07, 2023. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother.

Louise was born Louise Smith in Dooley County, GA on May 15, 1936, to the late Russel Smith and Arma McKenzie of Dooley County, GA. She spent most of her childhood and school years there. Louise meet the love of her life, George Freeman and they married in Sandcut, FL. They later settled in South Bay, FL to raise their children. She was happily married to George Freeman for over 30 years until his death in 1984.

Throughout her homemaking years, Louise enjoyed fishing, socializing with family and friends. Louise was an excellent cook and baker, and was a prolific seamstress, making sweaters, hats and clothing for her children and family members. Her love for gardening and tending to her yard was the highlight of her life! Most of her career was spent as an experienced truck driver. She also worked full time as an assembly technician at the Corrulite Division in South Bay, FL.

She is survived by her four children, Daisy Freeman of Belle Glade, FL, Yvonne Edwards of Tampa, FL, Martha Freeman of Belle Glade, FL, and Willie George Freeman of Belle Glade, FL, her sister Anna May Mann of Lehigh Acres, FL, her sister-in-law Mavis Smith of West Palm Beach, FL her God daughter Mariam Butts (Willie) of Belle Glade, FL, her granddaughters; Cynithia Smith of Miramar, FL, Theresa Henry (Jeffery Henry) of Belle Glade, FL, Vanessa L. Smith of Belle Glade, FL, Elizabeth Syme of Palm Coast, FL, Lavonda Muslet (Faisal) of West Palm Beach, FL, Takkia Charles of Clewsiton, FL Tameshia Partlow(George) of Tampa, FL, Yalonda Cooper of Tampa, FL, Kontiki Love of Belle Glade, FL, Marteshia Dorsey of Belle Glade, FL, and Letisha Williams (Antavius) of Port Saint Lucie, FL, and her grandsons; Jarvis Freeman of Belle Glade, FL, and Randy Roundtree of Belle Glade, FL.

At the time of her passing, she also had twenty-three great grandchildren, Travis Smith, Devoiges Brown, Lacquinette Shay Smith, Shante Legrand, Latarshia Laws, Domenique Wilson, Yvonna Smith, Darial Smith Jr., Garfield Williams lll, Courtney Pendergrass, Yasmine Muslet, Justin Cooper, Aiden Cooper, K’Asia Curry, Ariel Taylor, Ryan Midget, Malia Jones, Ayana Battle, Timothy Mann Jr. Timia Mann, Antavius Williams Jr. Alaia Williams.

She was also blessed with 16 great-great grandchildren; Taylor Smith, Delia Brown, Damon Scott Jr., Dylon Scott, O’Carra Hernandez, Oscar Hernandez lll, Javian Ingram Jr., Charles Coney Jr. , Malani Joseph, Kayden Brown, Ramelo Martin, Khalil Martin, Brior Burgess, Brandon Pendergrass ll, Braylon Pendergrass, and Khrome A. Curry, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Freeman; her dearest daughter, Mary Louise Smith and cherished son Leon Freeman, her uncle Willie Mack Childs, her aunt Lexie Mae Childs, her loved brothers; Sam Smith, Dan Smith Jr., Franklin Roosevelt Smith and Willie Mann, her dear sister Aster Mae Crane and her sister-in-law Sara Smith.
