Obituary For Edward Hicks

Mr. Edward Hicks, 69, of Montgomery, AL formerly of Phenix City, AL passed Saturday, December 9, 2023 in Montgomery, AL.

Graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. EST Saturday, December 16, 2023 at the Brassell Cemetery in Montgomery, AL, with Rev. Anthony Hicks, officiating. Public viewing will be from 12-5 p.m. EST, on Friday, December 15, 2023.

Edward “Dap” Hicks was born March 21, 1954, to the late Will Hick and Cardie B. Hicks. He entered eternal rest Saturday, December 9, 2023.

Dap professed Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He leaves to mourn in death by his parents; sisters, Isabella Crawford, Willie B. (James) Maddox; brothers, Jonas Lee Hicks, and Sterling B. Hicks. He leaves to mourn his passing a longtime, loving and dedicated companion, Ms. Mamie Blanchard of Montgomery, AL; sons Aldric (Tasha) Hicks of Greenville, NC and Anthony (Tameika) Hicks of Columbus, GA; step-son Gene A. (Josephine) Blanchard, Jr. of Montgomery, AL; sisters Eloise H. Brown of Phenix City, AL, Lisa Hicks of Phenix City, AL and, Shirley Mae Hicks of Orlando, FL; brother, Curtis Hicks of Phenix City, AL; grandchildren Jalen Hicks of LaGrange, Ga, Aldric Hicks II, Keilan Kai Hicks Anthony of Notasulga; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, along with a host of other loving family member and friends.
