Obituary For Mr. Samuel Spencer Johnson, Jr.

Fill not your hearts with pain and sorrow but remember me in every tomorrow. Remember the joy, the laughter, the smiles. I’ve only gone to rest for a while. Although my leaving causes pain and grief, my going has eased my hurt and given me relief. So, dry your eyes and remember me, not as I am but as I used to be. Because I will remember you all and look on with a smile. Understand in your hearts, I’ve only gone to rest a while. As long as I have the love of you, I can live my life in the hearts of all of you.

It is with a sorrowful heart that the staff of Harrington Funeral Home Inc., announce the passing of Mr. Samuel Spencer Johnson, Jr. of Valdosta Georgia. Samuel was a blessing to his parents as he entered the earth realm on Saturday, October 27, 2007. Memories we will hold for the rest of his family and friend's lives.

Life is not guaranteed, it’s a privilege and it may seem that Samuel was taken too soon however, he lived his DASH.

THE SUN SET for Mr. Samuel Spencer Johnson, Jr. was Saturday, December 9, 2023, at sixteen years of age. Samuel transitioned his address and leaves his memories for his loving family and friends.

Remembering “SAM”: Family and friends will gather on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Perimeter Road Baptist Church - 4091 Inner Perimeter Rd, Valdosta, GA.

Internment: Meet the Johnson family following services in the Mt. Olive Cemetery - 5009 Georgia Highway 122 East Hahira GA.

To the family and friends of Sam: I did not know Sam, but Valdosta is my home town. I heard what happened to this young man and I wanted to extend my sincere condolences to this family, friends, classmates and VHS administration. It is so hard to comprehend things like this when it happens to someone so young. Just know that I am praying for everyone tomorrow as you lay Sam to rest. It is going to be tough. But Know that if God brought you to it, he will bring you through it. To all Sam's friends, as you go through the various milestones of your life, live well and make him proud. Sam man it's really hard to believe that you're really gone and I know it's gonna take time for me to finally realize it.
