Obituary For Warren Hanchett

OPELOUSAS - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Community Chapel Church of God In Christ, 1606 W. College Ave., Opelousas, LA for Mr. Warren Hanchett, 67, who entered eternal rest on Monday, November 27, 2023 in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be at Garden of Memory Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.


Rev. Brian Alfred, Pastor of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Opelousas, LA, will be officiating the funeral service. Rev. Frank L. Ford serves as Pastor of Community Chapel Church of God In Christ.


Mr. Hanchett’s memories are being cherished by: his brother, James Hanchett, Jr. (Sandra Jolivette) of Houston, TX; one sister, Lois Hanchett Handy (Calvin) of Opelousas, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.


He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Octavia Robert Hanchett, Sr. and two sisters, Clara Gillam and Beatrice Johnson.


Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Community Chapel Church of God In Christ.
