PALMETTO - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at New Life Church of God Campground in Palmetto, LA for Mrs. Renella Fontenot, 62, who entered eternal rest on Thursday, November 23, 2023 at Opelousas General Health System in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Pastor Dale Fontenot will be officiating the funeral service.

Mrs. Fontenot’s memories are being cherished by: her three daughters, Akecia Shaw, LaQuanta (Don) Roby and Jessica (Chester) Joseph, all of Opelousas, LA; one brother Phillip (Evelyn) Jason of Oklahoma; four sisters, Glenda Joubert, Irene Frank (William), Frieda Jason and Amanda Jason, all of Opelousas, LA eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by: her husband, Frank Fontenot; her parents, Felmon Jason and Hazel Fontenot Pierre-Auguste; and her grandson, Corey Rosette, Jr.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at New Life Church of God Campground.
