FOR MY UNCLE SCOTT "The strongest people make time to help others, even if they're struggling with their own personal problems." anonymous My uncle was that strong man. He was a helpful man, he was a loving man, and he was also a HU-MAN. Just like every human being, he faced some adversities in his life. My uncle was no different in that regard. What made him different is that, despite what he was dealing with, he always had a kind word for me and lifted-up my spirit. He would encourage me to not be beaten down by my difficult circumstances. That takes a special kind a person to set aside his troubles for a minute to help someone else with theirs. He was GREAT at getting me back on the road ALL the times that I had car trouble. He was also WONDERFUL at motivating me to stay on the path to reach my goals. He would push me to look passed my current situations to see something better or he would share a funny way of looking at my current situation and make me feel better. Galatians 5:13 "You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love." Galatians 6:9 "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." Sometimes we can become so busy with life, we don't know if our conversation with someone will be our last conversation with that someone. I'm so glad that we always ended our phone conversations with "love you" and in-person conversations with "love you" and a hug. John 15:12 "My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you." I'm going to miss you, Uncle Scott. Thank you for your love, your time, your kindness, and your strength.

My heart is broken from hearing the news. I can't begin to tell you all the memories that have flooded my mind from all the adventures and times Scott lended a hand to me over the years. From all the times he fixed my bum cars over the years, him coming to my wedding, being such a great friend to my family and everything in between, I will miss him! Someone said they don't make them like Scott anymore, and that's 100% true! Until the day we get to see him again (and praise The Lord for that promise) we pray peace for the family, especially Lorrie, Simone and Justin and that the memories come to you when you need them most. - Amy Rigsby-Whidby & Joe Whidby

Scott always had a smile on his face or was always laughing at something. Though I only had the honor of meeting him over a year ago, I cherished the 10 to 20 minutes a day I got to spend with him and Coco talking about everything and nothing. I wish we could have had that motorcycle ride together like we spoke of doing frequently. I consider myself lucky to be able to call him a friend. He used to tell me that he was a saved man and was ready for the day when God called him home, I just wasn't ready for him to get that call so soon. I will miss his smiling face and his funny chuckle but take solace in knowing that one day I will see my friend again. My prayers go out to his family and the rest of his friends. Miss you and love you friend, Fabulous.
