Obituary For Mrs. Virginia Powell Faulkner

We knew little that morning that God was going to call your name,
In life we loved you dearly; in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone.
For part of us went with you, the day God called you home.

Mrs. Virginia Powell Faulkner, age 101, of Macon, North Carolina departed this life on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, in Tampa, Florida.

A Celebration of life will be held on Sunday, December 10, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. at Mount Zion Baptist Church Macon, North Carolina. Reverend Preston Williams, Jr. will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories, a devoted daughter Cynthia W. Cheese (André) of Hilliard, Ohio; three granddaughters, Leslie Shaunielle Kapp-Jones of Tampa, Florida, Ashley Nicole Cheese of Charlotte, North Carolina and Brittany Marie Cheese of Tampa, Florida; four great grandchildren, Dominic, Brynn, Amaré and Imani; one sister, Bertha Williams of Macon NC and one sister-in-law, Lottie Powell of Ft. Washington, Maryland; a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Public viewing will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023, from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM at Boyd & Royster Funeral Service 149 Holland Bland Rd. Warrenton, North Carolina.
