Mrs. Lillie Mae Little Sturdivant

Mrs. Lillie Mae Little Sturdivant daughter of the late George Little and Sarah Horne Little was born in Anson County on March 14, 1944. She quietly entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 27, 2023 at Atrium Hospice of Union County, Monroe, North Carolina.

Mother Sturdivant attended the public schools of Anson County. She continued her education at Anson Community College receiving a AAS-General Education and at Wingate University receiving a Bachelor of Science.

Mother Sturdivant was employed for many years as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Atrium Anson and as an assistant to her great friend the late Easter G. Rhue at Rhue’s Beauty Nook.

Mother Sturdivant LOVED the Lord. She gave her life to Christ at an early age and joined the West Rocky Ford Baptist Church. She then united with St. Mark United Church of Deliverance where she served dutifully. Mother Sturdivant was a faithful member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church where she served as a Trustee and Sunday School teacher until her health declined.

Mother Sturdivant was united in Holy Matrimony to Fisher Sturdivant Sr. who preceded her in death. To their union two sons, Fisher Jr. and Malcolm were born.

Left to cherish her memories are the lights of her life, her loving and devoted sons, Fisher Sturdivant Jr. of the home and Malcolm F. Sturdivant of Wadesboro, North Carolina; four brothers, Roper Little and Lorenza (Teresa) Little of Winston Salem, North Carolina, George (Fannie) Little and Edward (Leevonda) Simon of Wadesboro, North Carolina; three sisters, Jeretha Fuller and Doris Wright of Jersey City, New Jersey and Evelyn (William) Belin of Wadesboro, North Carolina. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The Services to Honor this Mighty Woman of God will be on Saturday, December 2, 2023, 11:00am, in the Chapel of Smith's Funeral Home, 604 Salisbury Street, Wadesboro, North Carolina. Interment will be at Westview Memorial Park, Highway 74-West, Wadesboro, North Carolina.

The public viewing and visitation will be on Saturday, December 2, 2023 from 10:30-11:00am.

The Family will greet family and friends at the home of Mrs. Strudivant's sister, Minister Evelyn Belin, 906 Montgomery Street, Wadesboro, North Carolina.
