The life of our loved one, Ms. Frances Ann Coleman Woods, 80, came to a close on Monday, November 27, 2023, at Atrium Health, Shelby, North Carolina. Daughter of the late Preston Coleman and Blanche Reid Coleman, she was born February 24, 1943, in Shelby, North Carolina.
She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Earl, North Carolina, where she served as Financial Secretary and Usher Board member for many years. She was a graduate of Camp High School and retired from PPG Industries after more than 30 years of service.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Bobby Jerome Woods and siblings, Jason Coleman and Ruby Aiken.
Left to cherish fond memories are her daughter, Berietta Woods-Byers (Steve) of Shelby; brother, Joe Coleman (Ann) of Houston, Texas; sisters- in- law, Joyce Coleman, Doristeen Barnette, Alice Vanlue (Willis), and Earlene Youngblood; grandchildren, Corey Byers and Stephanie Byers; a special niece, Lakisha Lawrence (Mark); and long time special friend, Gene Mintz, all of Shelby, NC, and a host of family and friends, including employees of Shelby Manor.
Services will be held on Monday, December 4, 2023, at First Baptist Earl at 2 p.m. with the receiving of family and friends will be from 1:30 p.m. until 2 p.m. Pastor Randy Thurman will be officiating. Burial will take place at the church cemetery. The service will be live streamed starting at 1:45 p.m. from the Enloe Mortuary Facebook page.
