Obituary For Cephas Jefferson

On Monday, November 27, 2023, Cephas Jefferson was called home to be with the Lord. Cephas was the son of the late Deacon Cleophas Jefferson and Mabel Reese Jefferson. He was born May 17, 1942, in Jarratt, Virginia. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church where he had been a member of the W.D. Adkins Gospel Choir. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy T. Jefferson, his children, Bryon and Devin Jefferson; two grandchildren, Alaina and Alyssa Jefferson; daughter-in-law Cynthia Jefferson; two sisters, Earlene J. Bell and Louise J. Green; two brothers, Columbus (Toots) and Reuben Jefferson; one brother-in-law, Joseph Green; two sisters-in-law, Ann and Lela Jefferson; niece Adrienne Giles; nephews, Darin Bell, Rodney, Reuben Jr. and Landon Jefferson; and many other relatives and dear friends. Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd., where viewing will be held Thursday, December 7 from 10 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., then the family will be receiving friends from 5 to 7 P.M. in Scott's Chapel, 116 E. Brookland Park Blvd. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, December 8 at Trinity Baptist Church, 2811 Fendall Ave. Rev. A. Lincoln James, officiating. Interment Virginia Veterans Cemetery Amelia.
