Obituary For David Baker

(June 3, 1960--November 17, 2023)

TYLER--Services for Mr. David Baker, 63, is scheduled for Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 11 am in the sanctuary of Shady Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Marvin Taylor, eulogist under the direction of John R. Harmon Undertaking Company.

Mr. Baker was born on June 3, 1960 in Smith County to the late Joseph Sr. and Walter Faye King-Baker and transitioned on November 17, 2023 at CTMF Hospital.

He attended TISD and was a member of Miles Chapel C.M.E. Church and was self employed.

He is preceded in death by three brothers and both paternal and maternal grandparents. Mr. Baker is survived by two brothers: Joseph Baker Jr. (Sandra), Walter Baker (Reola). three sisters: Sonja Baker, Dollie Baker and Cassandra Smith (Johnnie Williams) all of Tyler.

Public viewing will be from 2 pm to 8 pm on Friday, November 24, 2023 at the funeral home.
