Ms. Cheryl Ann Reviere

Passed 09/28/2023

Cheryl Ann, as she was affectionately known by friends and family, was born June 9, 1955, to the late Mary Ruth Cleveland Alexander and Lester Chatman, Sr. in Thomaston, Upson County, Georgia.

Cheryl Ann accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and attended Friendship Baptist Church. She attended public school in the Thomaston School District. During high school, she met her future husband, Robert Lee Reviere. After graduation, they welcomed their only child, Talisha (Lisa) Reviere-Winston.

Cheryl Ann worked at Thomaston Mills for over 20 years, creating and cultivating many lifelong friendships. In 2010, Cheryl Ann moved back to suburban Detroit, Michigan, to be closer to her only child, Lisa, and three grandchildren, Jalen, Julian and Jennifer (affectionately called Baby Girl). Cheryl Ann's grandchildren were the apple of her eye and “were practically perfect in every way.” She loved spending time with them and sharing stories of her childhood.

Cheryl Ann loved music, playing cards, Bingo, and being the self-proclaimed “welcome committee” to all who knew and loved her at Meadowbrook Commons Senior Living Community in Novi, Michigan. She never met a stranger, made everyone feel welcome, and was always the life of the party.

Cheryl Ann Cleveland Reviere departed this life much like she lived it, with fierce determination until she drew her last breath on September 28, 2023. Cheryl Ann was preceded in death b her mother, Mary Ruth Cleveland Alexander; her father, Lester Chatman, Sr; Joyce Alexander; Wesley Alexander, Willie James Cleveland, and Lester Chatman, Jr.

She leaves behind her cherished memories to her only child, Talisa (Lisa) Reviere-Winston (Brian); her extended family, Pollie Alexander, Cathy Alexander, Robin Alexander, Gabrielle Chatman-Battle (James), Marian Smith, Dorothy Durham of Thomaston, Georgia. Mary Trice Willis of Griffin, Georgia.
