This love for music and family inspired Ken to create, own, and operate Love Muzic Entertainment; a creative musical enterprise, with the assistance of his sons, provided DJ services, sound reinforcement, and lighting services throughout the east coast. Love Muzic had your back for school fashion shows, proms, bar and club celebrations, corporate occasions, weddings, community events, and hosting multiple entertainers, some world renown. These events took place from the bottom backyards to top floor penthouses.
Ken is survived by his high school sweetheart, friend, and wife of forty-four years, Gogi Lawrence, “Smoking Hot;” four beloved sons and confidants, Gyvante Lawrence (Anna), Dominique Chase Lawrence, Tadarrius Nixon, Keanu Lawrence (Ney); two daughters, Zuri and Imani Lawrence; an extraordinary mother, Maude Lawrence, whom Ken adored and found great wisdom; brother, Victor Lawrence (Trudy); sisters, Renita Anderson (Ronald), Charlene Crawford (Mornell); six talented grandchildren, Brooklyn, Nyla, Zayle, Gyanni, Princeton, and Kai; and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and in-laws;
Ken had a passion for family and friends. He did not hesitate to live, laugh, love, and fill their bellies with delicious food. Ken gave with his whole heart. He would give you the shirt off his back to support and inspire you to obtain your dream. He was an amazing cook, friend, husband, co-worker, and mostly dad!
