I will remember Anita as a vibrant, energetic, intelligent, compassionate and loving individual. She always had a smile and a warm greeting. I first met her as a zealous advocate for her clients, both adults and juveniles, in court. She was passionate about her job and went over and above to make a difference. I also knew her as a member of my church, 5th Street Baptist, where she chaired the Jennie Shaw Community Development Foundation, which provided scholarships to deserving college students. She also shared her love of decorating to serve on the Design Review Committee for the church's new fellowship hall, the GRACE Center. Anita was a loving and devoted daughter to her surviving 93-year-old mother who she cared for full time until her sudden death. My condolences to her family and close friends at this difficult time. Rest with the angels my friend, Anita...Angela
