Obituary For Mr. James C. McMullen “JC”

Guardian angels are divine agents of God set to protect and aid humans on earth in times of need. “For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.” – Psalm 91:11 NIV

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

Mr. James C. McMullen, Sr., 84, of Lake Park, Georgia was created by God’s hand on October 26, 1939. Mr. McMullen, fondly called JC, a devoted family man, loving husband, great father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and good friend, left a lasting mark on the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing him. Beyond his professional and religious commitments, he was a loyal friend who touched the lives of many. His warm smile, and genuine kindness endeared him to all who crossed his path. He possessed a remarkable ability to make others feel seen, heard, and valued, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.

In the hearts of his family, friends, and all who knew him, J.C. McMullen will forever be remembered as a beacon of love, strength, and unwavering support. His legacy of compassion, integrity, and devotion will continue to inspire and uplift those who seek to follow in Christ’s footsteps.

My earliest memories of JC and Judy were at the Gold Plate Restaurant. My high school graduation celebration was held there with a few friends and family. Three years later, Jim and I celebrated our wedding rehearsal dinner there as well. My parents, Raymond and Anne Dasher, considered JC and Judy very special friends. I'm sure their heavenly reunion with JC was wonderful. Jim and I wish to express our sincere condolences to the entire McMullen family and pray for comfort and peace that passeth all understanding. ❤️ Jim and Jan Hampton

J.C. always knew just what to say when you asked his counsel on a matter; as an elder of the church, he counseled many, but as a friend, he counseled many more, and always wisely and with love and deep insight. He was a man of integrity and he will be greatly missed by the church as well as his family. My prayers go to all the McMullen family as you deal with this loss. ❤️🙏 Dee Arnold
