Obituary For Linda Harris

Mrs. Linda Diane Harris (Lilo), the youngest daughter of Essie B. McClain and Leonard S. McClain was born April 9, 1960, in Memphis, Tennessee, at John Gaston Hospital. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age at New Friendship Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend W.M. Brown.

Diane united in holy matrimony on March 8, 1976, to George Harris in Memphis, Tennessee. Diane was blessed to share 47 years of marriage, and in their union, they were blessed with three sons, Darrell (Shantae) Harris, Anthony Harris, and Demetrious (daughter-in-law) Harris, and one daughter, Georgetta (Will) Wyatt.

Diane’s passion was being a chef where she served as a commercial chef for over 15 years. Diane departed this life Sunday morning, November 5, 2023, at Piedmont Regional (Midtown) in Columbus, Georgia.

In addition to her husband and children, Diane leaves to cherish her memories her eighteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two sisters, Bobbye Remond and Carolyn (Conrad) Williams; three brothers, Major McClain, Larry McClain (Barbara), and Lester (Mary) McClain; and a host of extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends Friday, November 17, 2023 from 4:00pm-6:00pm. Celebration of Life will be Saturday, November 18, 2023 10:00am both will be held at RS Lewis & Sons 2944 Walnut Grove Road, Memphis, TN 38111.

Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, 824 S Dudley St, Memphis, TN 38104
