Obituary For Mr. Jacarus "Mac" Carthon

Mr. Jacarus Sanchez Carthon was born on July 14, l994 to Ms. Lisa Searcy and Mr. Gregory Carthon in Thomaston, Upson County, Georgia. At an early age Jacarus joined the Saint Mary AME Church in Thomaston, GA. His early education began at A.J. Mini School and in the public schools of Upson County. He graduated from Upson-Lee High School in Thomaston, GA. He also attended Albany State University in Albany, GA. During his school years, Jacarus was well known for his participation on the Upson-Lee football, basketball and track and field teams. During his passing, he was employed by Avery Denison in Peachtree City, GA. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Dorothy “Dot” Worthy, paternal grandfather, Johnny C. Carthon, maternal grandfathers, Barry Searcy and Paul
McFarland, aunt and uncles, Shelia Green, Ronnie Carthon and Kenny Thurman, bonus uncle, Raymond “Sugar Ray” Raines, paternal great-grandmothers, Elnora Green and Marie Rose, maternal great-grandmothers, Henrietta Harmon, Eva K. Searcy and a great aunt, Arcolla Worthy.

On Saturday, November 4, 2023, Jacarus passed peacefully away. As the sunset, Jacarus Carthon leaves to cherish his memory, his son, London Aziz Carthon; his son’s mother, Jonichia Lopez; his parents, Mrs. Lisa (Demetrius) Searcy-Williams of Griffin, GA and Mr. Gregory Carthon of Thomaston, GA; his siblings, LeRonte Carthon of Lacey, Washington, Gabrielle Worthy of Newnan, GA, Javion Carthon of Thomaston, GA, Tomiya Harps of Griffin, GA and Quartez Williams of Manchester, GA; maternal grandmother, Mottie McFarland of Butler, GA; aunts and uncles include Mrs. Debbie (Melvin) Graddick of Yatesville, GA, Ms. Kalynn Worthy, Dexter Worthy, Freddie Owens, Jack Brooks, Willie Green all of Thomaston, GA, Susie Thurman of Barnesville, GA, Linda Ashley of Douglasville, GA, Chandra (Robert) Morgan of Americus, GA, Regina Lewis and Johnathon (Stephanie) Johnson both of Atlanta, GA, Stephanie Munn of Cleveland, OH, Tiffany Searcy of Fort Valley, GA, Tina Brown of Macon, GA and Vance Smith of Los Angeles, CA; great aunts and uncles include Rita (Billy) Smith, Angela Bedell and Marion Worthy all of Thomaston, GA, Paulette Carthon, Paula Carthon and Carrie Dixon all of Savannah, GA, Angie Green of Detroit, MI, Mitchel (Janice) Carthon of Albany, GA, Minnie P.
